You have to leave a few expendable Melee Units back and not have your forces bunched up or lined up nicely when you fight Skaven. Its just specifically this aspect of the ability, because its being combined with another map-wide ability to cause mass casualties with no counter play that I find unbalanced. Too many times I've had the ai summon a unit of clan rats right in the middle of several units that are just entering the battlefield causing all of those units to engage in melee with the unit.īecause that unit of clan rats is stuck between several of my units and all of my units are stuck in the same way, the clan rats terror route, my engaged units kill enough of the rats to drop them below 50% and then before I can extricate all of my units, I've lost a solid 4-5 units from a cheese warp-bomb. Specifically on Menace from Below, I dont think the ability should be usable. Good tactics like this should be encouraged not nullified.

Now if you combine the warpbomb with a crown of command that is where you get some good results! But I see nothing wrong with that as the crown of command is otherwise a pretty lame item. You can occasionally get a good one in but usually the rats route before they are below 50% health so you don't get much out of it.
